I grew up four miles outside of the small town
of Lovettsville, VA as the youngest of three children. My parents, O.D. & Helen Marcum, owned a farm/ranch operation named Armarc Farms.
At 14 years old I became interested in writing poetry. When I was 17 I bought my first guitar and started turning my poetry into song lyrics. Music had always been a big part of my life and I decided in some way, shape or form I wanted to be a part of that world. At 26 I started a band called TW Marcum & The Sagebrush Band which gave me the opportunity to perform the original songs I'd written. Marriage and children came along which has a way of making other things less important. Although performing became secondary, writing always remained my passion. Children grow up and once again performing my music has become priority.
I believe life's experiences have allowed me to give a message that people can relate to through my music.
